Practicing yoga for over 17 years has taught me so much about the powerful combination of movement and sound. My yoga background inspired "A Soul’s Journey", as well as "Trance Sensuality High", and one of the latest albums, "Seven Chakra Yoga" are designed for people who love getting into a dreamy trance-like groove and atmosphere. I don't want to create an "observer" out of the listener, but rather a co-traveler, as the music carries the listener into sensual rooms within themselves. My biggest goal is always to awaken the senses of the listener. I don't always go for "pretty and nice". Song to me is a type of prayer, a channeling of our ancestors. This can be done in a modern and hip way, where the old and the new blend into a mystical concoction. This is where I live, always striving to bring worlds together. Personally, it is not enough to make music anymore unless it embraces a deeper purpose -demanding I step out of my comfort zone, and take risks. My dad, Thomas Bone, was an honest & peaceful warrior, his courage was tremendous & his insight continues to inspire me long after his passing. And a mother with such talent and tenacity, they both gave me many wonderful lessons, and I see their wisdom more in afterthought and I am grateful. Musically, STING is one of my great influences. I can not listen to his music without marveling over the sheer poetry. WHAT IS THE WORLD WITHOUT ART, WITHOUT MUSIC, WITHOUT YOU? VERY, VERY EMPTY... SO CREATE MY FRIEND, CREATE!! |
